Happy Cinco De PLYO!
It’s BEAUTIFUL weather out and spring has spring! If you can, get outside and enjoy it!This is a pic of my “gym” today!
Thought we should all get outside this weekend, so this Weekend Workout has 2 parts: an outdoor challenge and a plyometric quickie bonus.

Saw this on CNN today. No longer hiring models that are ” too thin”
A step in the right direction? Thoughts?
via Gawker
The heads of Vogue’s 19 international editions have come together to form a six-point pact which promises, among other things, to stop the practice of working with models younger than 16, or those who, at the editors’ discretion, are determined to be suffering from an eating disorder.
“Vogue editors around the world want the magazines to reflect their commitment to the health of the models who appear on the pages and the wellbeing of their readers,” Condé Nast International chairman Jonathan Newhouse said in a statement.

This one’s CRAZY, but I KNOW you can kill it! 100 Burpees in ONE WORKOUT. Yowza!
Bitchin’ Burpees is an intense workout that’ll push you both physically and mentally. Make sure to take breaks and push yourself through the last few rounds. BEGINNERS: use the right modification for your level (see below for modifier options & tips). STAY HYDRATED THROUGHOUT.
Keep a timer running as you complete the 6 exercise circuit (including breaks), and jot down your total time at the end. The shorter your breaks, the better your time (30-60 seconds rest per round is ideal), but listen to your bod. It’s about doing your best: you’re not competing with anyone but yourself.
Short on time? Set your timer for your desired timeframe (15, 20, 25 minutes etc) and count how many rounds you are able to complete in that time. Make a note of where you left off.
DO NOT sacrifice form for speed, switch to easier modifications if you need to, check your heart rate and pace yourself.
You’ll need
- A timer
- A water bottle
- A mat
- A bench/chair

One of my favorite quotes. :)
Psst - If you’re still using a scale (I hate ”em, but they CAN be useful if you don’t assign the numbers more value than they deserve), why not make it a little more motivational? Use chalkboard paint on the surface & leave a piece of chalk nearby. You can write yourself a little loving reminder each time you step on. :)
love this idea

Having trouble fitting in all your water? This is a SUPER idea until you eventually get used to drinking it all the time! :)

I dont agree with the Splenda, Diet soda, and any other “sugar free” items because “sugar free” usually means they are using chemicals to make the food sweet rather than real sugar. I avoid sugary drinks all together and rarely have sugary snacks, but when I do - I go with the real sugar option. I’d rather eat sugar than chemicals any day! This list is awesome though!
One of my favorite tools! The MOTHER Of All Grocery Lists - You. Are. Welcome.
